Hawfinch: 1 seen very well flying into a Ewe tree where it vanished. The Ewe tree is up Parsons Lane from the pond, around the hairpin bend and after 15 metres it is overhanging the road on the right. 07:40.

The juvenile Glaucous Gull was back in the roost this evening.

Plus 2 juvenile Iceland Gulls. (short video clip of one of them above).

It's been the best winter ever at the roost for frequency of 'white-winged gull' sightings but I've no idea of just how many individuals have been involved.....

Upper Cherwell Valley: 14th March

14 Black-tailed Godwits on floodwaters at 08:00,  but not seen late AM.  Difficult area to view from A361 north of Banbury, right on county boundary.  Water now receding rapidly but still a lot of gulls feeding in the area.
